  • Project Info: These promotional postcards were commissioned by and designed for the Jewish-Muslim Community Building Initiative's annual interfaith event, 'Cafe Finjan'. The project called for a design that incorporated elements of traditional Middle Eastern art and architecture with those of the City of Chicago. As such, the concept for the project combines aspects of geometric art and design from the Middle East with the wrought-iron feel of the Chicago skyline. The event itself was billed as an interfaith chat over tea with music, so the design incorporated a traditional Middle Eastern tea set with musical notes emanating from the cup.
