Client: The iO Theater
Project Info: Working with Chicago’s Improve Olympics (iO) Theater, this project included the creation of original branding and promotional pieces for their annual ‘Cage Match’ improve comedy competition. By collaborating with event organizers on a design concept focused around professional wrestling advertisements as well as European soccer crests and medieval sigils, the final pieces were also informed by designs from the Constructivist era. The logo crest here represents a wrestling ring, incorporating the stars of the Chicago city flag into a simple three-color scheme, and was designed to be modular and adaptable across different mediums — including T-shirts, banners, social media and the web.
